Announces and runs live auction.

Silent & Live
Chairs:Secures auction items, makes up bid sheets, finds volunteers and runs auction.  Helpers: Help with setup, match bid sheets to items, helps supervise tables, moves & ropes off closed tables, helps with cashiering and fetching closed items.

We're using our decorations from last year's event so this isn't really an issue this year.   Please bring GPI banners and sandwich signs to help "mark" our location.   :)
NAME TAGS
Makes and distributes name tags to volunteers and guests.  Chair may or may not need help.

Chair: Responsible for securing baked goods and volunteers for this activity.  Helpers: Sells baked goods on the day of the event.

FOSTER PENS
Chair: Responsible for securing volunteers, dogs and setup of foster area.  Helpers:  Help with the dogs, answer questions from potential adopters, makes sure the dogs don't leave the building.  Adoption Reps: assist with adoptions.

SIGN-IN TABLE
Chair: Secures people to assist in sign-in on the day of the event.  Helpers: Collects admission fees.  Directs people to hand-outs, answers questions, etc.

BROCHURE DESIGN
Responsible for designing and copying our brochure.  Gets copies to the person doing the mailing for us.  In the past, this has been a one person job.

Puts mailing labels on brochures, folds and gets them ready for mailing.  In the past, this has been a one person job.

SET-UP/CLEAN-UP
Set-up usually takes place the day before the event.  Clean-up after the event.  We need lots of people.
We can use anyone who arrives early and can stay late!
DOGGIE GAMES
Chairs: Provides the doggie fun, makes up awards, hands out treats and gets lots of kisses. :)  Helpers: Set up games, hand out awards, keep the flow going.

Maps out our event layout so that we all fit into the facility.  One person job.

VENDORS
Chair: Sends letters to vendors with event info, keeps track of which vendors rsvp, provides layout for vendors.  Needs one helper to play hostess, fetch anything the vendors may need, etc.

ENTERTAINMENT Robin Pilger and Teri Spevak will play American fiddle and Celtic music for us!
WEB DESIGN
Designs our event website and keeps it updated.  All updates should be sent to webmaster.  One person job.

FLOOR DIRECTOR & AUCTIONEER HELPER
Keep our flow moving according to schedule.   Auction helper assists our auctioneer.

SECURITY
Chair: Finds volunteers.  Helpers: Secures our open doors, report to emcee when called for, patrol for problems, provide assistance if asked for, guard closed auction tables, collect money from each area hourly and give it to VP.
