The language of flowers dates back to the 1600's.  Flowers, garden plants and herbs were assigned feelings, meanings and sentiments.  One of the better known would be the "Rose."  Examples would be as follows, Rose, color "red" translated to "love," Rose variety "Caroline Rose" translated to "dangerous love."  Sherry has endeavored to combine the beauty of flowers and their meanings with the wonderful qualities and traits of the Greyhound.  The graceful, flowing lines of the Greyhound just add to the overall presentation of her artwork.  For a closer view of this piece, click the picture to the left.
